In direct and near surroundings there are a variety of hikes for young and old. One of the most beautiful cycling experiences is certainly the Danube Cycle Path from Passau to Vienna. The surrounding area is also ideal for mountain bike tours.
The Goldsteig leads through the low mountain ranges of the Upper Palatinate and Bavarian Forest. With a new route through the Czech Republic, unlimited hiking is now possible.
Perhaps the longest treetop path in the world can be found in the Bavarian Forest near Neuschönau. On a barrier-free length of approx. 1.3 km in total, it takes visitors to a seemingly different world and offers unique views and experiences. A maximum gradient of 6% allows wheelchair and stroller access to walk in 8 to 25 meters above the forest floor in unspoiled nature.
